Millars Transport & Logistics Pty Ltd is a privately owned, family business that was established in 1998. Previously RJ & JA Millar, the business has been focused on over dimensional heavy haulage transport, Australia wide since the early 1980’s. The Company is based in Victoria however it specialises in Interstate transport Australia wide having vehicles in almost all capital cities daily. We have a very high understanding and knowledge of the differing heavy haulage laws and legislations put forth by the government bodies in all states of the country including Tasmania. We also have many alliances and relationships with utility companies and shipping companies across Australia to assist in over height loads and movements to regions off the mainland.

Millars Transport & Logistics covers a very wide range of transport services and needs, focusing mainly on over-dimensional, heavy haulage and project logistics. Millars Transport & Logistics have been involved in many major infrastructure projects including, roads, rail, mining, construction and renewable energy.

Millars Transport & Logistics have a vast range of company owned equipment that we are constantly updating in an effort to comply with all laws and legislation. The majority of our trailers and low loaders are extendable allowing us to specialize in long loads that other companies usually do not want to transport.

At times we will also use the assistance of approved contractors to assist and help facilitate when we are unable to supply a company vehicle. In an ongoing effort to improve safety and driver awareness, Millars Transport & Logistics are a current member of Trucksafe, the industry leader in OH&S and Safer Transport Management.

Accreditation

Accreditation is one of the most overlooked aspects of the transport industry. At Millars Transport we do not take chances and are accredited under the latest Safety, OH&S and Management programs.

We are accredited with all the major state bodies and utility companies to ensure that there is no hold up in getting your freight where it needs to go.

We are accredited under the national Mass Management scheme which allows us, at our customers discretion, to gain extra mass on general freight projects. All our drivers are compliant with the current Driver Fatigue Management regulations.

Millars Transport have a Public Liability Insurance cove of up to $10,000,000.

Millars Transport have Load Transit Insurance to cover all loads.

Technical

Millars Transport realises how important technology and data management is when operating at the forefront of the transport industry. The importance of data management is often overlooked until there is a problem. Part of our great management system and compliance is our ability to utilise our software and IT capabilities to the advantage of our company and our customers. We are proud to have partnered with Translogix and Sage Technology to ensure we have the most up to date and comprehensive computer system available. We have the ability to:

• Track and trace all consignments

Clients have the ability to track their freight in real time through our customer portal. Clients have full access to the booking and tracking of their freight including delivery dockets.

• Capture images

Through the 'images everywhere' feature of Translogix we have the ability to keep a digital copy of all consignments and delivery dockets attached to the job. These documents are available also by the client through the login and portal.
